For this new episode, I'm delighted to welcome Pierre Coffin, director at Illumination MacGuff, co-creator of the now-ubiquitous "Despicable Me" film series, and also "Dad" of the Minions. In this episode, he shares with us the story of the collective adventure that was the creation of the first "Despicable Me" film, and the colossal development work that gave birth to this incredible universe, and particularly to the Minions. He also tells us about his daily life as a director, a sort of orchestra conductor, on the demanding international productions of Chris Meledandri's films (Tous en scène, Comme des bêtes ...). Humble and passionate, Pierre reveals some of his inspirations, such as the Tex Avery classics, as well as his advice for any young talents wishing to become animators in their own right. An episode that's simply BANANNNNNNNNA! as some would say.
